If you want to see how far you've run...

Here's a handy website you can join to track your running. I think mostly the intention is to create routes for yourself to meet a certain distance -- I used it in reverse, re-tracking my run tonight to find out I'd covered approximately 2.75 miles. Sweet!

  1. Whoa, that is far. Am I not going fast enough? I don't know if I did more than like 2 1/2 miles. Hmmm...I will have to pay attention to the treadmill tonight, and make sure I'm doing things right!

  2. Remember, I may have gone too fast at times. And this distance includes my 5 minute warm-up and 5 minute cool-down. I think that you are probably controlling your speed more effectively on a treadmill!

  3. Another good one:

Zoom in to your neighborhood, click "Start Recording," and then double-click on points on the map to set your route. It'll cut across parks and stuff, too. I'm not sure how much to trust the calorie-counting feature, though.
